The largest winter festival in the world

The Quebec Carnival is a unique phenomenon. For two weeks in February, Quebec becomes the world capital of festive winter. Monumental slides, ice sculptures, parades, skating rinks, and outdoor entertainment: you experience Quebec winter in all its intensity.

It's magnificent. It's also very, very cold. After a few hours on the plains or in the streets of Old Quebec at -15°C, the body demands warmth, comfort, and a good coffee. That's exactly what the Carrera Café was designed to offer.

From the Carnival to the Carrera, ten minutes

At the Carnival, we endure the cold thanks to excitement. But the body eventually asks to go back inside to warmth. The Carrera is that pause: a space where coats loosen, smiles return, and people share what they've just experienced.

The best of winter in your cup
★ ON THE PODIUM
Mulled wine

Mild spices, slowly heated red wine, aromas of orange and cinnamon: our mulled wine is the ultimate winter drink at the Carrera. A glass that warms both inside and spirit after a long day of winter festivities.

❖ THE BARISTA’S TIP
Espresso after the cold

For coffee lovers, nothing beats a short, intense espresso after prolonged exposure to the cold. The warmth of the cup in your hands, the bitterness that awakens, the long-lasting finish: coffee at its most natural role, that of comfort.

After sliding, fuel is essential
✽ LOCAL COMFORT
Winter platter

Organic Charlevoix charcuterie, Quebec cheeses aged for winter, warm bread from Boulangerie Borderon et Fils: the Carrera’s platter in the cold season is a tribute to Quebec terroirs that make winter less harsh and so much tastier.

✽ LOCAL COMFORT
Warm focaccia

Fresh from the oven, crispy on the edges and soft in the center, the Carrera focaccia is the perfect warm snack to recharge between Carnival activities. Simple, generous, memorable.

Winter is also meant to be celebrated warmly

The Carnival isn’t just about the daytime. Evenings in Quebec in February are lively, festive, and Petit-Champlain is perfect for it. After dinner, come back for one last drink at the Carrera: signature cocktail, mulled wine, or digestif, the Carnival evening naturally continues here.

Winter in Quebec is a full experience, and the Carrera Café is one of the best stops. Bonhomme approves.

The Carnival left you chilled? We'll warm you up.

The Carrera Café, in the heart of Petit-Champlain, welcomes you throughout the Quebec Winter Carnival. Hot chocolate, mulled wine, espresso: come warm up.
