Cold Brew, the cold fuel of champions
April 2026 · 4 min read · Carrera Café · The Coffee Journal
Great champions don’t stop when the heat rises, and neither does their coffee. Cold brew is coffee brewed cold, slowly, with patience and strategy. Just like a team manager preparing their tactics well before the start.
Why cold brew? The strategy behind slowness
In motorsport, the best strategies are those that anticipate. Cold brew is exactly that. We sacrifice speed to maximize performance. Brewed for 12 to 24 hours in cold water, the coffee releases its most complex aromas without any bitterness. The result is smooth, concentrated, and remarkably powerful, like a turbocharged engine delivering all its strength gently.
The pit stop recipe
No need for sophisticated equipment, just discipline and good Carrera coffee.
- Coarsely grind 100 g of Carrera coffee (grind similar to brown sugar).
- Combine with 750 ml of filtered cold water in a large airtight container.
- Refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours. It's your night before the big race.
- Filter with a coffee filter or a fine cloth.
- Serve over ice, diluted with a little water or milk depending on your driving style.
