THE PADDOCK OF PETIT-CHAMPLAIN
RACING, COFFEE, AND LIFESTYLE
In the paddock, everything is calculated, precise, tense. At Carrera Café, we transpose this spirit into every cup, every board, every detail of the decor. Petit-Champlain as the ideal refueling point.

The universe
Where the inspiration comes from
The name Carrera is that of one of the most legendary races on the calendar, the Carrera Panamericana. But it’s also a mindset: the pursuit of performance in every move, attention to detail, refusal to compromise.
The Carrera myth
The Carrera Panamericana is thousands of kilometers across Mexico, cars racing at crazy speeds on public roads. A legendary race that inspired Porsche, Ferrari, and now our location in Petit-Champlain.
The rigor of the pit stop
A pit stop lasts less than three seconds in Formula 1. Every move is repeated, timed, perfected. It’s this same logic that guides our baristas: efficiency without ever sacrificing quality.
Taking pole position every morning
In Formula 1, pole position rewards the best lap in qualifying. At Carrera Café, the morning pole is the first espresso of the day, extracted at the right temperature, timing, and with the right beans. Every morning, we start from zero.
The founder’s perspective
Why car racing
There is something in car racing that deeply resembles the art of coffee: technical precision, obsession with detail, the constant quest for improvement. It’s not a decorative theme, it’s a work philosophy.
F1 Culture
Formula 1 in everyday life
Formula 1 is not just a sport: it’s a culture, an aesthetic, a vocabulary. At Carrera Café, it infuses the menu, the decor, and the conversations.
The racing vocabulary of our menu
Pit stop, paddock, pole position, podium, grand prix, starting line: each word on our menu tells a story. These are not just linguistic decorations, they are shortcuts to a mindset.
The Grand Prix calendar
From March to December, the Formula 1 calendar sets the pace for the weeks at the Carrera Café. On Grand Prix weekends, screens light up, tables fill up, cocktails flow faster. Australia, Monaco, Monza, Abu Dhabi: so many reasons to gather.
The Canadian Grand Prix
The Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in Montreal is our race. The one that puts Quebec on the global motorsport map every summer. At the Carrera Café, that weekend has a special flavor: it's the home Grand Prix.
The barista's tip
How to follow a Grand Prix at the Carrera Café
Arrive before qualifying starts. Order a double espresso for focus. Grab a board for the long races. And if you prefer cocktails, wait for the podium: that's where the conversations really get good.

Design
The racing aesthetic of the place
Every element of the Carrera Café has been designed to evoke the world of motorsport without falling into caricature. Ferrari red, clean lines, precision in detail.
The signature red
The red #c40202 is not chosen by chance. It is a direct reference to Ferrari red, the most iconic color in motorsport. It structures everything: visual accents, titles, borders, buttons.
Race visuals
Vintage Grand Prix posters, photographs of legendary circuits, racing typography: the Carrera Café decor is a visual curation of car culture. Each piece tells a story of speed and excellence.
The starting line
The Carrera Café counter is the starting line: this is where it all begins. Every order takes off from this precision space, managed by baristas who treat each extraction like a qualifying lap.
Racing evenings
Grand Prix and unique moments
Grand Prix weekends are special moments at Carrera Café. The atmosphere rises, screens light up, and conversations turn into passionate technical debates.
The qualifying evening
On qualifying Saturdays, seats fill up fast. We order an espresso for Q1, a flat white for Q2, and a cocktail to celebrate pole position. The perfect formula to experience qualifying like in the paddock.
Race Sunday
On Sundays, we arrive early. We get a board, a large latte, and settle in for the duration. Races last between 90 minutes and two hours: the time for a long racing brunch in Petit-Champlain.
Evening version
The podium is here
After the finish line, the Carrera Café becomes the podium of your evening. Negroni, Manhattan, or Amaro Sour: winners get their ceremony. And no matter who wins the race, the atmosphere here is always front row.
