On September 13, 1759, the Battle of the Plains of Abraham sealed the fate of New France. Today, this memorial site has become the largest urban park in Quebec City.

The Battlefields Park changes color and atmosphere with each season. There’s no bad time to visit.
Concert season
July and August, the Plains vibrate to the rhythm of the Summer Festival. Hundreds of thousands of people gather here. Night concerts, daytime entertainment, terraces on every corner.
The golden season
October, the trees on the Plains blaze in red and orange. The contrast with the blue of the Saint Lawrence is striking. Tourists have left, calm returns. It’s the best time.
Carnival season
In February, the Plains host the Carnival festivities. Ice sculptures, slides, campfires. The place transforms into a spectacular winter playground.
The park’s awakening
April, the first flowers bloom on the slopes of Cap-Diamant. Joggers return, dogs trot along, benches fill up again. Quebec breathes anew.

The National Museum of the Plains of Abraham traces the history of the site with immersive exhibits. A visit that gives meaning to the walk.
The Odyssey guided tour
The Odyssey audiovisual tour immerses visitors in the 1759 battle and the history of the Plains. A sound and light show in a circular theater, presented in French and English. Duration: about 30 minutes.
