Charcuterie and cheese boards from Quebec at Carrera Café

When Quebec terroir meets Italian elegance.

Sharing boards have become a ritual. But not all boards are equal. At Carrera Café, we work with Quebec producers whose names we know: Charlevoix Organic Charcuterie, artisanal cheesemakers of Quebec, Boulangerie Borderon et Fils. The result: a board that speaks of this territory, served in a setting with character.

The Carrera board
A plate to share, designed to last.

The idea of the board is not to put as much as possible. It's to choose well and let each element express itself. We don't aim to impress by quantity. We aim to create a coherent experience, where each bite makes sense in relation to the next.

Charlevoix Organic Charcuterie
An exceptional terroir, two hours from Quebec City.
Charlevoix · Organic

Charlevoix Organic Charcuterie is one of the best producers of artisanal charcuterie in Quebec. Animals raised outdoors, natural feed, careful processing. The result: clear flavors, firm texture, controlled curing. Exactly what we want on a board.

Charlevoix is a region that nourishes well. Between the Saguenay fjord and the Laurentian mountains, the land produces meats with character. This character is felt in every slice. That's why we chose this producer, and no other.

Cheeses of Quebec
Quebec cheesemaking is one of the most dynamic in the world.

Quebec is among the best artisanal cheese producers in North America. This is not a slogan: it is an internationally recognized reality. Our selections vary according to seasons and arrivals, but the standard remains the same: cheeses with a distinct identity, a beautiful texture, and a flavor worth savoring.

The barista's advice
Cheese and coffee: the pairing you don't expect

A firm-rind aged cheese with a well-extracted espresso: the light bitterness of the coffee and the salt of the cheese create a surprising pairing. Try in this order: cheese, then a sip of espresso, then back to the cheese. You won't see it coming.

What to drink with it
The board deserves the right glass.
Coffee version: espresso or latte

For a mid-afternoon break or a late brunch, the board with a specialty coffee is the ideal pairing. The espresso cuts through the charcuterie. The latte softens the stronger cheeses. Simple, effective, unexpected.

Bar version: structured red or white

In the evening, the board switches to a bar mode. A red wine with fruit and discreet tannins pairs well with the charcuterie. A white wine with minerality goes with the cheeses. Our recommendations vary according to arrivals. Ask us at the counter.
