MONTREAL TO QUEBEC CITY IN 2 HOURS
April 22, 2026 · 7 min read · Carrera Café · Spring
Two hours on the road, and the world changes shape. Highway 20 is Quebec's most honest circuit: no spectacular turns, but a steady progression towards something worthwhile.
THE START: 7:30 AM FROM MONTREAL
Take the A-20 East. The sun rises on your right. Past Drummondville, the river begins to make its presence felt without yet showing itself. Adjust your mental tire pressure. You have two hours ahead of you.
THE ARRIVAL: LE PETIT-CHAMPLAIN AS THE FINISH LINE
Head down to the Lower Town. The funicular or the Breakneck Stairs will take you directly into the district. Carrera Café is on the left. The coffee is hot. The terrace, weather permitting, overlooks Champlain Boulevard. It's your day's podium.
WHY THIS ITINERARY WORKS
Because it has a specific purpose. Not a vague excursion, a real circuit. Fixed departure time, pit stop in Petit-Champlain, return in the evening with the image of a Château Frontenac viewed from below. It's enough to make Monday morning start differently.
CARRERA CAFÉ — OLD QUEBEC
In the heart of Petit-Champlain, Carrera Café combines a passion for specialty coffee and automotive culture. An essential stop on every visit.
