✦ The perfect brunch
Brunch in Quebec
Brunch in Quebec is an institution. In a city that loves good food and taking its time, it’s the most relaxed and delicious meal of the week. And at Carrera Café, we take it seriously.
Brunch culture
Quebec takes its time
Quebec is a city that has developed a true brunch culture. Italian cafes, neo-Quebec canteens, French patisseries. The offer is vast and the quality generally excellent.
Weekend brunch
On Saturday and Sunday mornings, cafes and restaurants in Quebec fill up from 9 a.m. Brunch has become a true social ritual. People go as couples, families, or friends. They stay a long time. They come back every week.
The Italian influence
Carrera Café brings an Italian dimension to Quebec brunch. Perfect espresso, whole milk microfoam, quality local products. The marriage between the barista's know-how and regional producers creates a brunch that belongs only to us.
Brunch coffee
The centerpiece of everything
At Carrera Café, coffee is not just another drink. It’s the guiding thread of brunch. From espresso to iced latte, every cup is an act of precision.
The morning latte
Double espresso, whole milk microfoam, cloud of foam. The morning latte is our absolute classic. Served in a large thick-walled glass. The first sip sets the mood for the day.
Flat white and noisette
For those who want an intense coffee with just the right amount of milk. The Australian flat white and the French noisette are two different expressions of the same philosophy: coffee purity above all.
Slow drip coffee
For filter coffee lovers, we offer a carefully made slow drip. Selected beans, fresh grind, water at controlled temperature. A coffee for contemplation, for long brunches.
Iced latte
Our summer bestseller. Espresso poured over ice, cold whole milk, or a variant with artisanal syrup. The iced latte at Carrera Café has earned its own reputation in Québec. Those who try it come back.
The brunch producers
The plate tells the terroir story
Every element of our brunch tells a producer’s story. Charcuterie, cheeses, bread, jams: all come from the Québec region.
The three producers of Carrera
Organic Charlevoix charcuteries for cured meats. Cheeses from Québec for seasonal varieties. Borderon et Fils bakery for breads and pastries. Three addresses, three commitments, one philosophy: the best of Québec terroir on every plate.
The barista’s tip
“For a perfect brunch with us: arrive before 10am on weekends to get a terrace table. Order the latte at the same time as the board. Stay as long as you like.”
The signature brunch
The perfect combination
Our must-have brunch selection at Carrera Café. The result of years of experimentation and customer feedback.
Pit Stop Board + Latte
Pit Stop charcuterie and cheese board + double shot latte. The combination that appears most often in our weekend orders. The harmony between the creaminess of the cheese and the roundness of the latte is perfect. Terrace seating as a bonus if the weather allows.
Tartine + Filter coffee
Borderon ricotta-honey tartine + slow drip coffee. For those who want something lighter and contemplative. Slow drip coffee is sipped slowly, the tartine is eaten without rush. A quality brunch, in a minor key.
On the podium
The three Carrera brunch musts
Three must-try choices for brunch at Carrera Café.
✦ Carrera brunch podium
Charlevoix charcuterie, local cheeses, Borderon bread. The perfect starter for a brunch that starts well and ends even better.
Double espresso, whole milk, dense foam. The morning coffee that puts everyone in a good mood. Our bestseller since opening.
View of Petit-Champlain street, morning light, background noise of the waking city. The best table in Quebec on Saturday morning.
Brunch by season
The menu changes with the market
Our brunch menu evolves with the seasons. What you find on our table in July won’t be the same as in November. That’s intentional.
Terrace brunch
Iced latte, seasonal board with strawberries from Île d’Orléans, Borderon bread with fresh herbs. Summer brunch is lively, colorful, joyful. The terrace is at its fullest.
Seasonal brunch
Spiced latte, aged autumn cheese, apple jam, walnut bread. Autumn is our favorite season for brunches. The flavors are deep, the colors warm.
Winter brunch
Artisanal hot chocolate, winter charcuterie board, toasted country bread. Winter brunch indoors, foggy window on Petit-Champlain street. A warm cocoon in the middle of the cold.
Wake-up brunch
Pure espresso, asparagus and ricotta tartine, first seasonal fruits. When the terrace reopens in April, the first brunch of spring tastes like freedom. Everyone goes out.
Reserve your brunch
The best brunch in Quebec takes the time it needs. Terrace or indoors depending on the season, perfect latte, local producers' board.
