Roasting and the pit stop

1.82 seconds to change four tires. Thousands of hours of preparation for a perfect bean. Precision as an act of respect for the material.

The fastest pit stop in history

In 2023, Red Bull Racing completed a pit stop in 1.82 seconds during the Qatar Grand Prix. Four tires changed, the car back on track: in less than two seconds. This performance is the result of thousands of hours of training and perfect communication among about twenty synchronized mechanics.

The roasting curve

Roasting coffee means controlling the evolution of a green bean through precise stages of chemical transformation. The Maillard reaction, the first crack, the development: each step corresponds to specific temperatures and durations that the roaster must master with absolute rigor. An over-roasted or under-roasted bean is like a failed pit stop: the consequences on the final product are disastrous and irreversible.

Artisanal roasting in Quebec

Our roasting partners in Quebec apply the same rigor: roasting curves developed over months, profiles adjusted for each origin, consistency that guarantees the same cup from week to week. Precision, in racing as in coffee, is what separates good from remarkable.
