THE 24 HOURS OF LE MANS

April 2026 · 7 min read · Carrera Café · Racing Culture

There are races you don’t watch from the stands. You live them. The 24 Hours of Le Mans is exactly that: a total 24-hour experience, with a whole night of noise, speed, and coffee to stay awake.

A RACE THAT REDEFINES ENDURANCE

Le Mans is not an ordinary race. It’s a motorized marathon where victory belongs as much to the engineers as to the drivers. Since 1923, the Circuit de la Sarthe has hosted the best of global endurance: Porsche, Ferrari, Audi, Toyota. All the great manufacturers have faced this 13.6-kilometer wall.

THE NIGHT AT LE MANS: THE MOMENT EVERYTHING TURNS

Around 10 p.m., when the car headlights sweep across the Hunaudières trees, something dramatic happens. The timers keep running, but the perception of time changes. That’s when endurance takes on its full meaning. And that’s when coffee becomes strategy.

COFFEE AND RACING: A SHARED HISTORY

At Carrera Café, we like to think that espresso and Le Mans share the same philosophy: extreme precision, obsession with detail, resistance to fatigue. A double espresso at 3 a.m. in front of the race broadcast — it’s almost a ritual.

CARRERA CAFÉ — OLD QUEBEC

In the heart of Petit-Champlain, Carrera Café brings together a passion for specialty coffee and car culture. A must-stop on every visit.
